PLATELET SYMPOSIUM - BEAUNES |
EditorialDear Colleagues and Friends,
To celebrate the XXth anniversary of this symposium, we have chosen Beaune, City of art and Capital of Burgundy wines, as congress venue. The Scientific Committees are collaborating to set up a fascinating and up-to-date program in the main areas of platelet and granulocyte immunology. Topics will range from basic science to clinical application. This program will focus particularly on new approaches and perspectives.
We are particularly pleased that many experts in the field have agreed to join us for state-of-the-art lectures but emphasise that we will allow time for short presentations chosen from the abstracts to encourage younger colleagues to participate actively to this meeting. A poster exhibition will be held with poster discussion sessions.
The traditional industry exhibition will provide you with most interesting information and welcome you to their excellent satellite symposia.
To be in Burgundy is also a unique occasion to explore the charms and delights of the heart of France. On Friday evening a wine-tasting and degustation of local specialities will be organised. The congress diner on Saturday will take place in the Hôtel-Dieu (Beaune Hospices), a jewel of high gothic architecture, founded in 1443.
We hope to welcome you to Beaune in October 2010.
